    Typical and so predictable.

Such a shame some missed out on the occasion.

I only live a few miles from Leigh, I'm glad they've picked up a trophy, it's a small town and for once has stepped out of Wigan's shadow, good luck to them!

A Hull derby kicking off the new Super League season tonight. Rovers fully deserving of their 14-0 half-time lead. FC haven't really turned up yet.

Just finished watching Wigan 16 v 12 Penrith in the World Club Championship Final .

Not watched any Rugby League for yonks & prefer it to Union & this was a very good watch with the last play of the game going down to a V.A.R. type decision going in the favour of the home team but looked a try to me .

Good to see the DW full , I think 24.000 in there & with a few Aussies making the trip though I was surprised by how many of the Penrith players were donning mullet haircuts , jeez guys , it ain't the 80's :D

Didn't watch it, but it's odd that a one-off World Championship match should be played at the home ground of one of the finalists. :hmmm

    Congratulations to Wigan though. :winner

I think they said that they alternated in hemispheres & it was more odd that a football match was staged on the same pitch 24 hours earlier & the mighty Bolton tip up there this upcoming Tuesday night as well , bit of a grudge match that & i imagine the pitch could do with a rest after that .

Never mind Ant & Dec, that was proper Saturday night entertainment and a great showcase of what a fantastic sport rugby league is at its best. Wigan may have had the rub of the green with a couple of decisions, particularly the one for what turned out to be the match-winning try, but I think they would be entitled to argue that they earned a bit of good fortune. Their defensive performance was phenomenal.

I think they're starting to alternate it more, which is a good thing. Last year's match, when St Helens beat Penrith in extra time, was at Penrith's ground.
