Good to see this thread on the Premier League board and will start the first thread. Gaetan Bong - announced today that he's signed a one year deal to June 2018. Awaiting three others offered new deals - Sidwell Maenpaa and Stockdale.
Sounds like Pocco won't be returning. So sounds like we have someone else in mind? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tantalising rumours. Trepidations until a new keeper and left back are on board. Anxiety until we sign a new striker and perhaps a central defender are signed. These are just replacements for players lost for one reason and another Stockdale now gone to Birmingham so we don't have him to fall back on. I assume that this is a sign that the Mat Ryan transfer will go through. If the new season started tomorrow we would be a long way from ready!
Asuuming that Ryan has signed I still think we need a two full-backs, a centre mid, a left sided winger with genuine pace and two strikers. Out of the players we've been linked with, I think signing Gibbs, Gomez, W.Hughes, Haraguchi, Ambrahan & 1 more striker would be a f*cking incredible window. I'd love us to bid for Ings, think he's exactly what we're missing.
Can't see it happening though. Think we may end up with Gomez & Haraguchi from that list and a panic buy striker. Never know it's just the we will build steadily sound bite worries me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ings will be available Imo especially after Solanke won the Golden ball at the u20 world cup he will now be behind him Imo.
I don't see us signing Ings. Gomez rumour has some strength. I don't think either will happen though. Ings because of his age and wages and Gomez because we might not be able to guarantee him enough game time Most likely signings are Ryan (GK) from Valencia for £5.2 which would be a record transfer purchase. I do not think Tammy Abraham will sign for Brighton. It is inconceivable that we will not sign a left back, and very likely a striker, another midfielder, central defender. That's five new signings, plus one already. The latest rumour says James Troisi from Australia which would possibly help with our lack of scoring from central midfield. This would be in addition to the other positions.
Brighton & Hove Albion have agreed to sign Australia international Mathew Ryan on a five-year deal from Valencia for a club-record transfer fee, with the 25-year-old keeper officially joining the club on 1st July, subject to international clearance. Brighton & Hove Albion ALBION COMPLETE KEEPER SIGNING
Brighton & Hove Albion chief executive Paul Barber has confirmed the Seagulls are trying to sign Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham on loan. Club CEO claims interest in Chelsea frontman is “no secret” | theshedender.com
Albion face waiting game to land Liverpool prospect Joe Gomez i.e, interest confirmed, not sure if if it is loan (probable) or a permanent move (desirable). It might depend on who Liverpool sign, inquiries from other clubs. Gomez has missed lots of games through injury, but so a has Goldson for Brighton, Unsure of Brighton could guarantee game time if a loan is involved?
There is literally no chance we'll sign Gomez permanently If we did sign him I'd expect him to potentially start on the bench before taking over from Bruno at RB if he doesn't cut it. If we were to get Gomez and Suttner in next that would leave us with a team of; Ryan Gomez - Dunk - Duffy - Suttner Knockaert - Stephens - Kayal - March Baldock - Murray Still think we would need another central midfielder, a new left winger and at least one striker. Mooy looks like it's between us and Huddersfield. The Japanese winger seems to have vanished and Abraham is looking unlikely now. That Italian striker would be good if we could pull it off, but I'm sceptical.
Having signed Groß so quickly, and replacing Stockdale as soon as we did, I was hoping this thread would have a little more activity
