    Solid team.

Conn-Clarke standout player of the season by a mile.

I can;t have it that Grant Smith is the best keeper in this league. We've got 2 better here.

I’m amazed that Ollie Harfield, who’s been part of a defence that’s shipped 80+ goals gets in. Stokes must have run Conn-Clarke very close surely only the disappointing last 5 weeks of the season kept him out. Think the front two are about right but Tolaj will be on the bench.

I suppose the Bromley thugs have got to have at least one player in haven’t they after finishing 3rd

Funny way of spelling Tom Naylor that

Conn-Clarke has been excellent hasn’t he. He looked decent on loan at Alty last year, but I don’t think anyone expected he’d be as good as he has been this year. Will be interesting to see where he ends up next season, stinks of Peterborough if they stay in league 1

Be a Notts County pick up I reckon, he'll be topping the creepy vampire brothers databases.

Virgo's team was wild, basically picked Smith in goal, 4 defenders and 6 attackers.

Kian Hayes was excellent both times against us, he also looked very good whenever I’ve seen Rochdale on the highlights show so a bit surprised he hasn’t made it in.

Yeah he was tremendous for us. Dunno about if the team sheet excludes loans? Hayes was on loan from October onwards. Also missed a chunk of games cause Fleetwood recalled him only to bench him / not put him in their squad then send him back anyway (cheers lads). That'll put him behind players with more game time.
He's triggered a contract offer at Fleetwood. I live in hope he tells them to FO and comes back to us.

    Bemused by Grant Smith.

I barely pay attention to opposition players, so couldn’t comment on the others.

Worst side I saw was the ‘non league bible’s’ team on Twitter. Miles off it… 18th place AFC Fylde had TWO players in it whilst the runaway league leaders had one…

Boot hadn’t played enough though to get in one of these. Voted for by clubs I believe

Don’t get how Sam Johnson never gets picked in these things. Most clean sheets in the league and the highest saved shots with a high xG.

Even Jamie Stott, played every minute of every game this season doesn’t seem to even get a mention. Part of one of the best defences in the league, that made the playoffs.

Harfield was brilliant this season, a consistent 8/10 every single game. Think the defence shipping goals was down to other factors (keeper, tactics, other defenders) rather than Harfield - having watched him week in week out he definitely deserved to be there

We've got the guy who's won the golden glove 2 seasons on the bounce. No arguments about anyone else in our team getting in but we have the standout keeper In the division.

Sam Johnston and Harrison Male are best Keepers in the league.
Grimes is the only poor player in a brilliant chesterfield team.
Dobra has to make list but agree with rest.

Personally can’t get behind a keeper with 80+ goals conceded in a season and consider him to be one of the best.

You could make a case for most of our attacking midfielders eg. Dobra, Colclough (injury in Jan goes against him but was unplayable for the first half of the season, and is our best player), Banks, Mandeville (who’s in). But Cook has rotated them that often that in reality they were never going to be in, despite being the best set of attacking midfielders / wingers in the league

Also, Grimes gets a bad press. Don’t believe everything you read, he’s our best CB. There’s a reason Paul Cook plays him every single game & kept him captain with the likes of Naylor, Jones etc in the squad. The most dominant CB in the air in this league bar none, gives 100% every single game with out fail, and an underrated passing range. Not many CB’s have to defend as a 2 without any real full back / midfield cover like our lot do with how attacking we are, so that goes against him too. He makes mistakes like every CB at this level, but clearly impressed enough clubs at this level to make the team of the year.

Wouldn't swap Collin for any keeper in this league. However if the rumours are true might have to.

Male is a free agent, so it'll be interesting to see where he ends up next season.
