I think that it is certain that alpay and mellberg will be regular centre halfs and they both are quality and delaney seems to be improving and looks a good right back but i never have been alan wrights biggest fan.Wright poor in the air well not bad considering he's nearly a dwarf, backs off his man too much and allows crosses into the box, doesnt play early balls into the box or make overlapping run but remains a regular in the 1st team.I would love to see gregory give Barry or Samuel a run at left back as both are great young prospects and have a better all round game than wright.cant see JG dropping him tho could be this season's dion dublin.Any views?

I think the left back spot should be Barry's. It looks like Ginola ain't gonna be a regular in the starting line-up & we need an option on that side. Barry is always keen to get forward and is really calm & assured on the ball.

I've got high hopes for our defence this year, hopefully they can be the rock on which we build a great side. I just hope the money stays available to JG
