Teams 11th - 15th are probably in holiday. So easy games for Halifax and York. Southend in last chance saloon for playoffs. Tough game for us now Woking have improved. Most interesting games at Braintree and Oldham. Can Boston continue the climb, Oldham and Rochdale both improved.
York will have their easiest game of the season. Last night's performance at home to Boston was in the 5 worst i've ever seen from a Yeovil side. I won't call them a team as tbey weren't. It was 11 people wearing Yeovil shirts, that's where it ended.
We have a poor record at Boundary Park so would probably take a point on Saturday with 2 winnable games following it in Boston and Maidenhead. That said we're surely due a win there after 9 years since our last one. The last few visits have been some of the worst games I've been to. Dull, low scoring draws. After a shocking Feb we're now playing very well so long may that continue. Jay Bird has been a great signing it seems - added some missing bite up front.
Uggla will be licking his lips at the prospect of coming back down to Huish Park for the first time since all the shenanigans of the ownership debacle. We're ripe for putting 5 or 6 past in own backyard.
Shots up at Alty. Feels like a good time to play them after their defeat last night. We’ve been on a decent run recently, but our away form is still a huge concern. Think we’ll give it a good go, but end up losing 2-1
We couldn't really lose last night results wise. But the gap to the play offs narrowed from 7 to 4. Albeit Alty now no longer have a game in hand and are 4 points behind. It's starting to look like it's between. Oldham. Gateshead. Us. Alty and Rochdale battling for 4th to 7th. Southend fans don't seem confident they are still in it. Easeigh have less games to make up the difference than others Eastleigh can still catch the teams directly below us but having played 2 games less we should hopefully now be able to keep them at arms length. I suspect Rochdales games in hand might take them out of the running. Sutton away for us at the weekend. Same as Yeovil last weekend we should want it more. But it will be another tough game a positive result sets us up nicely for our home game with a demoralised Daggers team next midweek. So which teams missing out?
I do think the Football Web Pages model is not very useful until the last 6 or so matches of the season. Having said that, I do think Gateshead have a difficult end of season run (unless I’m mistaken).
That wouldn't surprise me, they looked toothless in the 2 games against us. I don't see what the hype is about from a lot of other fans about how they play.
This is an interesting alternative, has 3-8 finishing within a 3 point spread, suggests who misses out is almost a lottery. England - National League
Looking forward to Saturday, last time we were here Ferguson scored his worldly from 45 yards. The other two we scored that night weren't bad either. Watched their game against Sutton. Didn't think either side looked that confident at holding the ball and both looked vulnerable at times. Doidge is obviously one to keep a close eye on. However if we play on the front foot and are confident on the threat we carry, I can see us getting something out of the game. Fingers crossed anyway, form our perspective.
Helped us sign a few decent players that made us significant money last year so I think most are fairly happy with the job he's done
