....would you have like to have seen play live. For your own club obviously. For me it would of been Jackie Milburn (AKA Wor Jackie). Read books and listened to my Grandad tell me how good of a player he was. Who would you have liked to seen play ?
Duncan Edwards or George Best. Here's an eloquent and moving tribute from a Liverpool supporter who saw Edwards play: Credit: RAWK (Red and White Kop) poster, Maggie May

The legend that was John Charles. Still revered by Juventus fans nearly 50 years after he last played for them. When he died in 2004 Juventus had a minute's silence for the Gentle Giant.
Voted the best foreign player in Serie A of the last century by the Italian fans, ahead of even the likes of Ronaldo, Zidane and Maradona.
Another vote here for John Charles - even ahead of Billy Bremner from my club. It's simply unfathomable nowadays how a player can be among the best in the world in two completely different positions. Of all players I would love to have seen Beckenbauer in his prime.
I remember hearing that many years ago and i thought bloody hell. He played in the 1958 World Cup and missed the quarter final against Brazil and i read that the Brazilians were rather relieved that his name was not on the team sheet.
Luther Blissett John Barnes Nigel Callaghan All absolute legends. I know for a fact my old man thinks so!
Ronnie Glavin Tommy Taylor. Truly mesmorised by Glavin's runs
George Best...I can only imagine the magic he would weave on modern day pitches with modern balls and modern fitness/not drinking yourself silly every day and night regimes. Lionel who? That or Duncan Edwards...There is next to no playing footage on youtube but some of the things I read and hear sound extraordinary, makes it all the more tragic how he died so young. Bryan Robson in his prime wouldn't be a bad sight either.
