Mbappe against Argentina. I know they were shite but he was still amazing.

Modric was head and shoulders the best player in the competition.

    Mbappe after him.

This. The right players won the awards this year without a doubt.

Do you think though that Mbappe should have got silver in golden ball instead of Hazard, he didn’t even get bronze, Griezmann did.

Watching Modric throughout this world cup will be like watching Xavi throughout Euro 2008

    Breathtaking stuff

Mbappe won the youg player of the tournament so I would imagine that would be why.

Varane should have been in the top 3 ahead of Griezmamn though. He was immense throughout.

I’d have Mbappe as young player and at least as third behind Modric and Hazard. Feels like they wanted to give it to a French player and already gave an award to Mbappe. Just a case of a defender getting shafted for a more “exciting” player

I'm good with the guys who won the awards. Looking in other terms, I think Trippier had a level of performance I didn't expect from him and was really very good.

I agree Mbappe's performance vs. Argentina was breathtaking. That wins it for me.
