pep linders needs to go. his cycle is at an end too. the tactics and messaging needs to change to move on with the times. the biggest single issue we have to ensuring that first the kids are good enough and second they get something approaching the chances afforded by klopp. Once we have that pipeline and the club works it's transfer strategy to buy young and develop then the coaches need to bring that to fruition. we need a change away from inverted widthless fullbacks and I just feel there's years of different approaches in our set up that somehow fail to hit the mark. we press up but don't press up. we have flexible forwards like as if firmino was there but we end up with diaz in the middle and nobody wide and nunez looking confused. we've no width and play in a half of the pitch at best then play in front of sides wondering why it's so easy close us down. I think a fresh approach will get more from the current players (not that klopp wasn't getting loads mind) most of all, we need to see a new approach medically as the fitness with consistent muscular issues has been poor. something has gone wrong there.
Basically the man must be exhausted himself no? Maybe he knew it when he announced he'd be leaving in the summer that he had nothing else to give? Just an opinion no wind up
Wish we’d just hurry up and announce it, it’s been months. I’ll get behind most choices but if it’s that weirdo from Brentford then no I wouldn’t be able to. Thank god his name is much less mentioned recently.
Good. I know some of my lot were ok with the idea of him. But me .. god no, absolutely not. How much longer do you think you’ll have Pep for?
I think if we win another league and CL he may go, next year will be great 9, I was happy with 3/4 years as was normal with Pep.
Not for one minute did I think Liverpool would win the league, they are simply not on the level of the other 2. It’s been this way all season, they don’t control games to the same extent. With that in mind you could argue Klopp has done well to extract as much as possible out of this lot to the extent they were in it till April. The bigger stain on them is how they blew the FA Cup and Europa League - in a weird way if they would have been a distant 3rd they probably would have won one of them. A nice farewell in Dublin. but they didn’t, and it’s fallen apart. And it’s absolutely tremendous. He’s got beat at his biggest rivals. I wonder if he just did a Ferguson and kept it quiet about him leaving as opposed to wanting a farewell tour - suppose we’ll never know.
Glad it’s done early. As has been said multiple times, any manager after Klopp was gonna be a downgrade but at least it appears on paper we’ve got someone who can slot(lmfao) right in.
