Baffles me in modern football (not just England) that there's such an emphasis on patient possession football, to the extent we ignore runs made beyond the defender, but then every now and then the ball just gets punted forward to nobody.
He is hilariously bad. You have to wonder what an England player would have to do for him to criticise them, even constructively. He's not on his own there though, international commentary when England is playing is universally bad. Constant glass half full, inane bullshit, no matter how bad the team is playing. I'd sooner they were honest.
