Awful draw for us. From pot 1 PSG have the second worst draw after us. I still can't believe the draw handed down to Celtic.
I can’t understand people complaining about the draw when only 8 teams go out. All the English teams should be fine and even Celtic should get through, although you should never discount the Rodgers effect.
I'm confused, why is Liverpool's draw awful? The two hardest games are at home. The only tough away is AC Milan and tbh last time at the San Siro Liverpool beat them sending the reserves out.
Thought the format was pretty easy to pick up... Not the easiest set of fixtures we could have had but also a set where we should be confident. Will need to overcome the Madrid & Alonso ****ery, at least they're at Anfield. Scheduling is the still important unknown so far, hopefully avoiding the narrative games over the late October, late Nov & Dec fixtures is what I'd be wanting, but we should be looking at Top 8 & avoiding that playoff round.
Every team has the same chance of a draw as each other regardless of their pot, they just got just about the best Pot 1, 2 and 3 picks possible. Celtic got comfortably the best draw out of everyone. Liverpool got one of the toughest.
It's absolutely farcical the amount of games they're expecting teams to play. I'm not @rsed about the opponents we have to face ,more the excess amount of fixtures. I think who ever formulated this new structure is guilty of inhaling f*cking paint thinner. That said I'm looking forward to facing Madrid in our yard and welcoming Xabi back with his German champions. I think Liverpool on the night can beat anyone ,but that's largely dependent on how serious the manager takes this competition. Has to be also said , that there's a couple of good European away trips in that list ,but I will be giving any excursions to Italy a wide berth. It's been a while since I've tipped up for a lads European holiday and Leipzig away and PSV look tempting.
