I am just angry at how this season has ended. The team performed without the main players in January & February, but when they returned the team puts out stinkers after stinkers. & it's not even against the bigger sides. With all due respect to Palace, I can understand dropping points against Emery's Villa or Spurs but against Palace at home or against a side that is avoiding relegation simply because the bottom three are one of the worst in the PL history. Klopp also looks unbothered. He has for a while now. So have some of the players. The only good thing about the title chance ending early, is that we don't have to endure another heartbreak on the final day.
Yeah that annoys me the most the kids and fringe players did their best to keep us in contention then we get the injured players back and fall to shit. Fair play to Everton their game plan worked and they were up for it more than us. Get one more win to secure top 4 then roll on next season and a new era.
just more jaded, half walking football. I don't know what vvd is on about. he was as bad as anyone else so needs to take the same look in the mirror. why? After 5minutes you could tell there was literally no communication or structure to the defensive line. thsts his job to keep them in line and get out properly. some players are half fit and some are just ran into the ground and some have dropped their heads. it's just that simple really and you need 11 players ready to go. the difference seeing palace and Everton just run our lads off the park whenever the need arose is telling.
Don't agree Klopp looks unbothered tbh he's annoyed and clearly arsed at how badly the season has fizzled out you can see the anger and disappointment through his facial expressions and how he smiles through the pain too. However, I do think certain players have let the manager and club and fans down, and already thinking about where they are gonna be next season and the monies they're gonna be earning. I'm not saying Klopp is faultless or hasn't got some things wrong because he has but I'll never buy into the notion he doesn't care. He wanted to go out with a bang and on a high just like the rest of us. I hope he gets shown endless amounts of love during the parade the man is hurting he deserves a fantastic send off and goodbye.
Plus an FA Cup, 2 League Cups, a Champions League and whatever lesser (super cups) people want to consider meaningful or not. It could have been more but ultimately Klopp leaves Liverpool with more success than most managers achieve at any club. I know you're partially on the windup here but how many managers have won multiple league titles at an English club? Even Chelsea and City sweeping up in recent years haven't had many who've won as many as two league titles. I think it spoke volumes for how comfortable Everton were last night that there was a long period at the end of the match where all you could hear were Everton fans singing, rather than booing / moaning as they had been earlier in the night. I was kind of looking at it the other way last night. On one hand, Everton away was one of the toughest remaining fixtures last night but on the other you think it's one of the easiest for a title-chasing side. I think it's very easy to get a little complacent in a lunchtime kickoff at Anfield against a team you're expected to beat. Those are the games that should be bankers but you can really find yourself slipping up in. So the Palace result is less surprising to me than last night. A night match under the lights away at Goodison, in a game where they're desperate to beat you and scupper your season, should be a game the players need no motivation for. It's really hard to comprehend how off it Liverpool were last night given the circumstances. I'd have Johnny back for a few days because he'd be intolerable after that performance and result - Everton bullied Liverpool, ended their season and pretty much guaranteed Everton's survival all in one night. You couldn't ask for a better night as an Evertonian, how Liverpool allowed that to happen so easily is quite mind-boggling. I hope I'm wrong but I'd expect Arsenal to be right at it from minute one against us on Sunday. It's a difficult game for them but not one that their players should need geeing up for. I'd be fuming for our season to end in the manner Liverpool's did last night. Klopp will still get the send-off he deserves but disappointing in how the season has fizzled out after a pretty good start to the year.
He's definitely checked out when we got knocked out Europe in the week he said he felt nothing. It is what it is he will still get a great send off.
Very happy for my good mate Chorley George. Everton would be 16 points clear but for the points deduction. Dyche proving the doubters wrong again.
Not buying it mate you can literally see the bitter disappointment and pain etched all over his grid. If you can't see it then fair enough let's agree to disagree but I genuinely believe going out like this is a killer for the bloke.
I keep hearing about the announcement ****ing Liverpool up they were fine for about 8 weeks after the announcement so that's bullshit.
For someone thats supposedly "just chilling" you seem to care an awful lot about us IMHO, it wasnt so much the announcement its the expectation his announcement produced and once we won the first of the four trophies, every ****er was banging on about quads/trebles, this just added pressure to the whole scenario, its not really that hard to understand, football (well any sport is actually) is a very mental game, you can ride the crest of a wave one minute, then fall into a slump the next. When the announcement was first made we were in the midst of a great run of form, fortunately that run continued for a few weeks, mainly whilst a lot of star players were out injured, strangely our form dropped once the star players started returning from injury...not one of them has come back in any kind of form, they all seem to be either going through the motions or truly struggling to get up to speed, even Salah who usually bounces back from any break bang in form, he hasn't. So there is obviously some mental issues here, be it the pressures of delivering or maybe wondering where we go from here (when Klopp leaves). Some of the players are looking like Zombies right now...Konate, without doubt one of the best CB's in the league has returned looking like Dejan Lovren. Salah looked disinterested. Jota returned and immediately injured again. Alisson doesnt even look as safe and assured as he usually is. Trent looks gassed after 60 minutes. And the players that played through the injury crisis look ****ed and in need of a rest...its all simply caught up with them, mentally and physically.
Stop talking sense mate, its not allowed whilst discussing Klopp. The amount of morons banging on about him only winning one title is dumbfounding. He ran the serial cheats closer than anyone else, twice hitting points totals that would usually win the league, as you say won numerous other trophies and in fact has the best win ratio of any Liverpool manager in history. Not too shabby.
imo there's just too many players who've been rushed back and played and too many muscular injuries in particular. right now macallister reminds me of watching fabinho creeking about the place. the lad has been overplayed and he looks so so tired. trent shouldn't be starting. he's nowhere near the fitness levels but again he's pressed into service. Jones has started 4 or 5 and has been poor. he got an ankle injury and still doesn't look up to speed Szoboszlai looks tired as well and was also rushed back. i just think it's all caught up and the side lacks intensity, sharpness and pace.
How much of his form is down to Tarkowski? Think his (Tarkowski's) efforts for you lot goes under the radar, every time I see you player the fella throws everything and the kitchen sink into his defending. Dunno, you see him more than me, is he like that all the time? Or saves it for the big games (ones I see him playing in)?
Every team at the top gets the quad thrown in their face if they are still in all 4 and then win 1, got to be able to deal with it
Yeah Mac Allister looks absolutely goosed right now. Maybe the fact he's been forced to play out of position has taken its toll too.
