Since there are some people already getting the game I decided we may as well get this thread started... dunno when I'll be getting it mind. (Any chance a MOD can sticky this, and let the '09 one fall down the pack, please?)
Ordered mine online from Zavvi for £18, which was much cheaper than I got last year's game for. Postal strikes may mean that I don't get it for quite a while yet though. Looking forward to this year's offering. Unlike a lot of people I really enjoyed '09, it was a lot more realistic than '08 and the 3D pitch thing kind of worked. Haven't bothered with the demo this year so I'm not really sure what to expect but from screenshots the skin looks pretty different. The main interest for me is in realism. My main bugbears last year were the shite game ratings (have been since 03-04 days), the exaggerated home form and the difference your past career makes in terms of getting a job (putting yourself as ex-international means you can get offered a post by just about anyone even if you're doing a crap job). Plus it has to be a challenge - it takes the fun out of the game if it's too easy to move up the leagues. If SI can get all the above sorted then I'll be happy.

My demo thoughts are simple This is more like FM2007, it's user friendly and I love the ease of useage - I like having the bars, graphs and millions of numbers but sometimes don't want to navigate through it all I love the wage / transfer budget slider, how the news informs you have much opposing teams will let players go for (sneeky bids!), how in training for players you have the option to just set it into place, there on a big button infront of you saying apply this change we feel the player needs Also good is 48 months to pay fees over time call me a FM noob, but still, simulation with an easy to use engine is always a plus It was tiny things like this that made it tedious for me to play last years
Noticed that the cracked version is already out. Am tempted to download that to play until I buy it tomorrow morning!!
Started a game with Man City, just to get to know the game better, and understand it.These are my transfers.
Man City eh, that'll be a piece of cake I started with Villa, I'm about 2 weeks in. I've made £5million selling Harewood and Shorey, so now I have £7million for transfers. I need a new CM, but Standard want a ridiculous fee for Defour!
Depends what type of CM you want Moutinho, Hamsik, Cattermole are all good. Can't think of any more but I know Beckham is a free (but you will only get him in Jan) and is a good CM playmaker.
