If you've downloaded it before, you can just download the updates. If you're downloading it for the first time, you'll need the most recent full pack.
It's still a great game after all these years. I have tried to newer ones but find them too detailed.
FM23 BETA IS LIVE. Football Manager 2023 - New Features - Official Site I wasn't planning to get the beta this year because I'm going on holiday for 2 weeks next week, but it's already out so I've got a few days
Gone with a Man Utd save as I always do during the beta test. First impressions - okay so far. Loading times are still fast. There's a new "squad builder" tab which allows you to pull players into positions, have a 1st choice, 2nd choice, youngsters etc, and plan a team for the next few seasons, without your team knowing anything about it and getting pissy because you "dropped" them. Basically what we all used to do on scrap notebooks back in the day (I still did it up to FM22) Match engine doesn't seem too much different, Sports Interactive have mentioned "smarter AI" as a new feature but I've not seen evidence of that so far. I've noticed strikers are blooting the ball into row Z from about 12 yards, and inside forwards/wingers also like to do the same thing, around 3-4 times per game currently. Clubs are asking for bonkers money for average players, which I suppose mimics real life now. Agents are a little more involved and will contact you if you've enquired about their player and they didn't hear back. The European League licensing is cool (I suppose), it takes you to a graphic where the draw happens in real time, but the very random playing of the Europa League theme certainly made me jump when I unknowingly had my speakers at 100%
Biggest change for me is that it seems possible to play a successful defensive tactic. Seems to be working but I've only been playing that over 10 or 11 games so far. I like some of the animation stuff. Seems to be a lot more misspaced passes and general chaos in midfield. Have a feeling I'll play this one a lot more than the last few editions.
Anyone still around playing this? I’ve just started a game with Gyor in the Hungarian second division. Going to try a journeyman career.
I've had one save since it come out, trying to win the Champions League with teams who have been runners up but not won it. Currently achieved it with Panathinaikos, Atletico Madrid and Man City. Now onto Partizan Belgrade. Fun save to pick up on and off.
I did one with Olympiakos in a previous FM in Greece. Obviously you dominate the league but the challenge in the Champions League was fun.
Yep, got it for Christmas and got the Mighty Southend out of the national League at the first attempt. Currently 2nd in L2 after 16 games.
What does that mean? Take an international side and help them grow? Nice. I started my first game with Dulwich Hamlet in the VNS and got sacked in January Need to find a tactic that will work.
Yeah, develop the Nation. Basically, I'm rangers and Scotland and my aim is to make it the best league in Europe. Aiming to win the WC, CL.
I like that. Watched a guy do it with San Marino on YouTube a few years back. He had San Marino the football club working in the Italian league system and of course the woeful nation we all love playing against He ended up doing it though. How you getting on?
