I play FM casually, and FMM a lot. I don't really mind the delay, as long as the game comes out nicely. I would have skipped FM25, made one hell of a FM26, and everyone would have been happy in October 2025. But that's not how a YoY business model works, so there's nothing else to do but wait and hope for the best.

As far as FMM goes, I actually like that it's a Netflix exclusive. Fun streaming times, between two play sessions.

There is enough of a community to be able to keep an up to date database going for Fm24 anyway in the meantime - SortitoutSI for those who unbelievably may be unaware of its existence.

Seems it wasn't a license issue as they were fine with it, they just don't want to put the effort in for an update.

It's free on Xbox game pass PC so I dont know how they account for those figures. First time downloaded only or does download, uninstall and download again later count as two?

They have really advanced telemetry for games these days so I'm sure they have both figures. Naturally they'll flex the one that looks best. I'm the sort of person that deletes games to save space when I'm not playing so I probably download Football Manager 2 or 3 times a year.

I'd imagine the people playing for free are actually still really useful for SI when it comes to negotiating certain things. They'll presumably be able to use that data when talking with potential advertisers and so on.

Managed to finish 3rd in my first top flight season & secure Conference League football, albeit in the qualifying rounds. I’m up against Levski Sofia which is probably the hardest team I could’ve been drawn against.

The sheer number of players I’m bringing in every summer window is obscene. I’ve lost count of how many loanees I’ve taken from teams around Europe but it must be over 20  I need them & cheap African players to tide me over until I become a lot more financially stable. Last season I had comfortably the worst sponsorship in the Slovakian top flight with only £80k but the league average was £450k

Won the league in my 3rd full season & 2nd in the top flight. The Champions League money (even if I don’t qualify) should really set us up for future proofing the club. I’ve been drawn against one of Alashkert from Armenia or Sheriff Tiraspol from Moldova in the 2nd qualifying round. Hoping I can sneak past either of those tbh.

My time taken to scour & scout for young African players is paying off as well as raiding the amateur markets in the Netherlands & Belgium. I’ve got 3 U23 Ivorian internationals who have absolutely smashed it, a young Icelandic CB I signed for free ended up leaving for £500k (huge money for us) just 6 months after signing him without even making a first-team appearance & have a Belgian CB & Belgian DM who are absolutely flying.

    Thoroughly enjoying this save.

Flying now. Finished 4th the season after winning the league due to being in the Europa League & not having a big enough squad, but won the league at a canter the following season & just missed out on the Champions League proper by 5 minutes, conceding vs. Legia Warsaw. Doing well in the Europa League this time though, currently 9th with 3 games left to play & smashing the league again. I’m so far ahead of everyone else in the Slovakian leagues now I can get away with playing a rotated squad most weeks.

I’ll be on this save until I get bored, so hoping for the long term. Just upgraded the youth facilities & training facilities a couple of times while also taking ownership of the ground from the council so we get all of the money for gate receipts now.

SI said they'd reveal FM25 gameplay at the end of January. It's already the end of the working day in the UK, and almost the end of the working day here in the US, but we've had no statement, not even a single sentence one, let alone an actual gameplay reveal. This series is done for. An end of an era. Who knew FM would come to such an abrupt end?

I really wouldn't be surprised to see Miles resign/get sacked/leave at some point in the near future. It's just been a complete mess.

Probably just a placeholder based off what SI have said previously.

My guess is that that aren't going to show it until they're more than confident.

    Still absolutely no news then.

Surely they aren't leaving it this late to announce it's not happening?

I don't see what else it could be? If they ran into a last minute hitch, they're incredibly stupid to not just make like even a single sentence delay announcement.

That's what's confusing me too. Even if they just put out a holding message to say it's delayed again for whatever reason, but even then, why keep pre-orders open and leave people guessing if you're going to pull the plug? Never known a situation like this!

Could be SEGA are holding crisis talks/still mulling over whether or not to cancel. This series is a guaranteed annual money spinner for them after all, which means cancelling FM will have studio-wide ramifications in terms of budgeting/money for other games.

I'd be intrigued to see how sales go if they do release it. Can't see it being close to normal levels given it'll be the end of the season
