Anybody else remember the band, Everything But The Girl? They’ve just announced that they’ve completed a new album which will be released early next year. It’ll be interesting to hear what sound they’ve gone for as they mixed up a bit over the 80s and 90s. I still rate their debut, Eden, as one of the greatest albums I’ve heard..
I remember them on TOTP when the song didn't start in the studio so they didn't start miming to it and just sat/stood there doing nowt!
I remember going to see them live at the Birmingham Odeon just after the release of Eden and getting annoyed because the gig hadn’t sold out. I couldn’t understand why everyone else didn’t love the record as much as me. They got a bit too poppy for me by album three (that was a sell out) ams the collaboration with Massive Attack made them a lot of money but for me that first album and their solo work at that time were epic..
Besides releasing that, they released 2 english dubs of their old songs... Edit: That japanese accent is so thick lol
