We had a different owner at the start of last year, he was a conman who was throwing money at it because it wasn’t his money. We were on the verge of going bust in September 2024z This club is now in huge historic debt cause of our older owner Peter Swann and David Hilton.

The cheap option is necessary. However, I can’t imagine our previous manager was asking for that much more so we could’ve just extended his contract another year

Rumours about Maher going to Gills, which we didn't think would happen, seem to be abating with this news, that Mark Bonner is set to be named as next appointment there.

 

Gills have now announced Bonner officially.

 

Hoping to hear this week who Wealdstone have appointed as manager. It will be either Cox or someone who managed at NLS level last season.

Hunch. As our chairman has said in the past, we don’t sign who we want to but whom we can afford and would suspect that applies to managers as well as players.

 

Dean Brennan to Swindon?

 

Sam Cox tweeted, is that still a word, that he hasn’t got the role permanently. Lots of rumours that it is Matty Taylor, formerly of Walsall and Shrewsbury .

 

Swindon could certainly do a lot worse. That job’ll take some turning round though, seems like they have been on a bit of a kamikaze mission these last few years.

 

Mainly on the forum where that rumour has come about, with Paul Hughes as assistant. They did play together at Luton…

 

Hearing Daryl McMahon has interviewed for the Boreham Wood job, same league as current club Hornchurch.

 

Well the rumours were right . Taylor confirmed, Paul Hughes alongside him will be very influential as he’s been in the non league a while. Feels like a huge risk .Have to say, not sure.
