Watching Doak this pre season and it's actually insane how easily he can beat a defender. Never seen a youth player go past players so easily. Crazy natural ability. He'll have a big future if he can add end product. No question.

he's a real glider with the ball.

Closest thing to owen running with the ball I've seen, far better dribbler mind.

the end product is really the salient point as he's literally drilled stuff at players the last few weeks so he needs to find that change from that to an actual pass to score off. Hit that zone of most danger, pick out the 2 or three type of ball to play in and focus on getting them right.

Is anybody else shocked there isn't more clamour for the club to explore getting Michael Edwards back? The management has been a pretty big mess since he left. This new sporting director seems like little other than a Klopp puppet and I do not think it is right to be reverting to an outdated model where the manager basically runs everything.

Jurgen Klopp says Thiago will stay at Liverpool. “He’s now training, He came in and asked about his role and we spoke. Super experienced player, he stepped up in that department. He has only been in team training for a week but very vocal, he is going to be very helpful for us.”

Right move IMO. Losing 3 key players in one window would have been a disaster, especially considering we're struggling to replace one of those key players at the current time.

I know that I have said that he's injury prone and that if the right price came in, I'd be open to him moving on, but given how the current saga is going in replacing one of the key areas we have left exposed, I'm not full of confidence that we'd replace Thiago appropriately.

we'd get max 10mil for him and a years wages at 200k would be another 10mil or so.

it's a large decision that has to have some pay off

If only we could get a full season out of him, still a very valuble player for us and chuffed he's staying.

Still reckon he's our best midfielder when fully fit and on form.

It's good that he's back, but I reckon he will be eased in. Still need a player for that position, otherwise if he gets another injury, we're back in this position. We need rotation and using Alexis is an option, but we don't need to restrict further up the field if we can help it.

Another injury (2 months) for Calvan Ramsay. A shame for him after last season.

Poor lad isn't going to get a break. Please hopefully this isn't a sign to come that we may never see the full potential.

Apparently we're looking to offload Morton on a loan deal ,hopefully this means new additions in the midfield area are being brought in ? Otherwise it would be just madness piled on top of madness.

he needs to get fit and won't do it here. it also increases in value if he has as good a loan again.

In reality klopp does not seem to rate him?

Our 8's/false 10s or whatever they are now are locked in as szoboszali and Macallister. Jones and elliott are just hoping to get enough games there.

At 6 its now Endo, bajcetic and thiago.

where does morton get enough game time to really push on in this? the issue is he's missed preseason and now has mcconnell and scanlon pushing on as well.

I really think we are actually going to no sign anyone else in midfield or attack and at best a cb might arrive. at best.
