Not to mention Klopp's announcement and Diaz having his parents kidnapped. So many things could have derailed our season but we have somehow managed to come through the worst of it (fingers crossed) still sitting top. So much credit to Klopp and the squad he has built
Deffo need these for the run in. Especially Alisson, Kelleher has been a superb stand in, but you cant replace the best goalie on the planet. Jota too, be great having him back.
I do think Alisson more realistically saves the Mainoo goal tbh. Hard to know with the 1st goal, maybe Alisson quicker to spot the possible danger and wouldn't be so far outside his box. Kelleher actually made a bad call trying to save it, as if he had he'd have been sent off. Not knocking him at all. Just my view on the two goals from the weekend. As for Jota, need his killer instinct finishing back. Hopefully the injury hasn't knocked him much.
Kelleher's done really well in Alisson's absence, but his presence back is just another level up. Trent & Jota could be huge, feel like their influence in final ball/clinical mentality would've made a huge difference on Sunday, and a real boost to the run in. Anything we can get from Bajcetic will be a bonus this season, and I'm glad he'll have more experience working with Klopp to hopefully help add to his development.
Rest in Peace the 97. So many young lives, so many families devastated, such a terrible, terrible, tragic waste.
WE ARE A GENERATION THAT WILL NEVER COME BACK. A generation that walked to school and then walked back. A generation that did their homework alone to get out ASAP to play in the street. A generation that spent all their free time in the streets with their Friends. A generation that played hide and seek when dark. A generation that made mud cakes. A generation that collected sports cards. A generation that found, collected and & Returned empty Coke bottles to the local grocery store for tuppence each, then bought a Mountain Dew and candy bar with the money. A generation that made paper toys with their bare hands. A generation who bought vinyl albums to play on record players. A generation that collected photos and albums of clippings of their life experiences as a Kid. A generation that played board games and cards on rainy days. A generation whose TV went off at midnight after playing the National Anthem. A generation that had parents who were there. A generation that laughed under the covers in bed so parents didn't know we were still awake. A generation that is passing and unfortunately it will never return no matter how hard we try. I loved Growing up when I did. it was the best of times
I've just heard that at some point last night Nunez has deleted all of his Liverpool content from his Instagram page. I quickly checked his page and it looks like he has. Wonder why though? Fancies a clean break in the summer? Or because of trolls? I like the bloke and I'd like him to stay to see what Slot can do with him but who knows what's going on.
Maybe Klopp's pissing off because there's problems with the players, Salah last week mentioned there would be "fire" if he spoke.
Apparently his wife has been getting abuse too. He's the scapegoat for our season turning to shit which is funny because I don't remember him making us concede every game but what do I know. 30+ goal contributions in a season where you aren't a guaranteed starter is not considered good anymore some of our "fans" are ****ing embarrassing.
Seems a bit childish in my opinion. He’s still overwhelmingly popular with Liverpool fans and has his name chanted every single game. Removing all Liverpool content from your socials just brings unnecessary drama.
behave yourself, the Salah "spat" which got totally blown out of proportion is just about the only sign of unrest with any player during Klopps tenure. Clearly never had any issues with many, if any players.
If I was a player I'd have no interest in social media whatsoever ,the whole thing is toxic. It's just a small universe for those who are more interested in picking up more likes with a disparaging aside rather than offering up praise for the player. Hopefully Nunez can kick on under a new manager and ignore the absolute f*cking weapons that set up their respective tents waiting for a bad performance. “What was so amazing was that Liverpool fans stuck with me,” Crouch explained on the Diary of a CEO podcast. “That’s something that I’ll never forget, because I swear to you, any club in the world, having just won the Champions League in one of the best finals we’ve ever seen in Istanbul, they signed me and I turn up and I don’t score in 18 games. “I don’t think there’s a club – a top club – in the world that tolerates that as a fan base apart from Liverpool fans.” “They stuck by me,” recalled Crouch. “It was like a siege mentality; everyone else is attacking him but he’s one of ours and we’re with him. It felt like every time they were willing me to score. “When I eventually did, you can see the footage, the camera’s shaking, it’s like we’ve won a European Cup final; people wanted me to score that much.“I’m thankful to this day that they did stick with me, because I managed to turn it around after that.“It was a special moment at a special club.” Can you imagine the meltdown from social media if Darwin had gone 18 games without a single goal ?
