Seen tickets are going super cheap and in some instances being offered free - shit seats though. Considering it. Something to do on a Sunday night.
Frank Turner's coming back to Australia in November, playing the Forum, my favourite venue in Melbourne, on 26th. Tickets bought..
Got tickets to see Sir Paul in Melbourne in October. **** me they were expensive but I’m not sitting at the back to see this legend..
Went to see Sam Fender 3 weeks ago in Perth. Absolutely brilliant gig. Really enjoyed it. For once Perth was lucky. He did an Australian “tour” which was 1 night here and 2 at Splendour in the Grass in New South Wales. Foo Fighters next up for me in November. Morrissey is here in December. Looked the other day and tickets I was seeing were $350Aud each. Yeah get f****d not paying that. Human League here next year and quite a few of us fancy that so see if we can get tickets for that. Paul McCartney can go f**k himself - Perth not on his list of concerts. Not the best Beatle anyway. That One was murdered back in 1980
Just about to leave the digs to head to the 02 Academy in Liverpool to see First Aid Kit. "Who?" I don't care, I like them OK!
Briliant album but as a fan i would say they all are. Thier latest album is absolutely class. A lot of bands tail off the longer they go on but its probably their best album yet. What is it like thier 7th album? And they're still smashing it. You have to really like that folk/rock/pop vibe to appreciate them though.
Yeah, they reminded me a bit of Of Monsters And Men, who ithink are also Swedish or thereabouts. I might be being a bit unkind there but I enjoyed their first two albums..
Got tickets to see Nick Cave in April and Pearl Jam in November. Cave is playing the relatively small venue at the Exhibition centre in Melbourne, accompanied by Radiohead's bassist, Colin Greenwood. Pearl Jam are playing the Marvel stadium, which is about the same size as the Etihad in Manchester but it has a roof which when closed makes the sound so much better, or at least it did when U2 played there..
Going to see Blind Guardian in April, can't wait. In a much much much smaller venue than Wacken obviously but still expecting similar audience participation.
Going to 2 concerts this summer in Dublin. Pearl jam who I'm not the biggest fan of yet(I'll be listening to them more from now until the concert)but it's a weekend out with friends and ac/dc who I do like and have for a long time
Pearl Jam's new album has had mixed reviews, especially in our house where my wife loves it and I'm a bit meh. I know they can't keep releasing Ten or Vs every year but their newer stuff sounds too safe for me. Looking at the setlists from their two gigs in Vancouver it looks like the band are mixing things up. Lots of the new album but they played Jeremy on the second night and Black on the first. I'll be happy with either of them as long as they play Better Man and Small Town.
Only got Slipknot in December booked in at the moment, Self Titled 25th anniversary tour, new drummer, old school look. It's gonna be ****ing great.
DM 30th anniversary reissue including tracks from the 2 versions recorded that weren't deemed good enough for the full release. Thanks Noel, you spoil us
I think it really could be happening. Fastest ever UK selling gig? I think they could play 10 nights at Wembley.
