Liverpool as a club expects their players to acknowledge their fans ,no one is saying we've done them any favours by not turning on them besides you fella after you spirited it in to the conversation to engender your own slant on things. It's just something players have done for most of my 35 years as a Kopite. Walking straight down the tunnel in a huff before taking to the pitch and applauding the fans is not a good look ,If you don't get that then that's fine.

On this general point I'd not disagree, I think immediate context has made some of our fanbase absolutely go OTT about the performances & levels of the players over the past month, but I'd not say that the specific situation that Redpelt was going after. That more refers to Nunez, who has been shown immense support & appreciation by match going fans despite his travails in front of goal, but who slinked off after a poor cameo and seems to have had a fit of pique, removing all the club from his socials etc.

This is after he's received a fair deal of criticism from our more online fans, who to be frank can be absolute head the balls, some have become stuffed full of entitlement over the past few years, and I've had plenty of disagreements with on other platforms. Gini Wijnaldum mentioned about similar treatment, it's pretty much par for the course at one of these clubs now, but Nunez's presumed reaction compared hasn't sat well with many, particularly after the sheer amount of support he's received at the ground every time he plays, even compared with some of his teammates.

I'd personally think any top level footballer should be advised to steer well clear of social media etc. or at least try to avoid looking beyond their immediate circles, but I suppose it's hard for a generation who've grown up online to make the separation.

There is always a massive difference between match going fans and the online foreign supporters

They won't because they have greedy financial advisors who want the attention and brand

If messi and Ronaldo just stuck to football they'd only be fifthly rich not obscenely filthy rich
