The wife won't like today, she has a doctor's appointment this morning and the forecast is............ My little darling HATES thunder
It's a cracking day in Somerset which suits me as i'm going to Wilkins cider farm with a couple of mates to buy 36 pints of dry cider for £47 and £10 worth of extra strong cheddar so happy days.
Been a beautiful day today, going to be nice tomorrow and Friday as well. Make the most of what is left of a bad summer.
Going to be fun trying to sleep tonight in this heat. Was nice having a summer in 2024 even if for one day.
2012 was still the worst for me. Even more rain and I don't remember it having any warmer breaks. Don't think it got quite as cold as this summer has got at times. But the amount of rain was relentless. I went to Silverstone that year and the fields were so muddy we weren't allowed to park in our camping pitches. We had to park on an allocated parking field and then lump all of our shit miles to where we were camping. And obviously in reverse at the end with all our stuff covered with mud. Absolutely miserable. I didn't go this year but although they were limited to not being able to leave again once they'd parked up, they were at least allowed to park next to their tents this year. So that in itself is proof of a slight improvement . Hopefully August improves. August is usually the shittest month of the summer so hopefully this one bucks the trend.
In-car do-dah reading 21° this afternoon, paid £9.50 to get the car washed so naturally it's now p*ssing down . . .
Your clothes dried out but your hair was still stuck to your forehead. I sense some inaccuracies here Red.
Been a muggy dry day even though lots of grey cloud. We had a good downpour later this afternoon and could smell the freshness of the air straight away as the heavens opened.
