CL gone to the scum, 4th best we could hope for with 3 best players missing majority of the season

 

London City Lionesses will be the first fully independent football team to play in the WSL next season. They achieved promotion today.

 

I suspect they will invest significantly ( they need to if they are to survive) Although they are independent of any men’s club they are part of a bigger global group which includes Washington Spirit and Lyon

 

My sister went to this. Good crowd created a great atmosphere but from 2-0 down it was too much for our girls. So close and yet and all that..

 

With the investment made I think Birmingham will be hot favourites for the Women’s Championship next season

 

Arsenal Women have conceded 9 goals in 145 minutes of league football. 19 days until Barcelona

 

They've done a U-turn on this.

Tottenham probably set to appeal given they're set to finish 11th of 12 this season. Really disappointing campaign and already 1-0 down this afternoon.

Another summer of bad news for our womens team. Lost loads of players, smallest budget, paid min wage yet stayed up. Now this. Awful treatment.

The big game is on Saturday. Have absolutely no expectations against that monster Barcelona team and i can only hope Mariona Caldentey has some secrets to share about Barcelona.

 

Hard to see beyond a Barcelona win. Hopefully it'll be a good watch later.

 

Should be a comfortable barcelona victory.

 

First half has gone significantly better than I expected. For context a few years ago Chelsea were 3-0 down in 15 minutes in the final against Barcelona.

 

Big 20 minutes for Arsenal.

I think that's enough underdog stories for one season

 

Huge result for Arsenal and women's football in this country. Credit to them. The decision to replace Eidevall has paid off.
