I pretty sure that is Villa Park Mate, Holte End when we played Ipswich in the FA Cup Semi? Here's one of the Kippax-
Favourite ever ground. Favourite ever stand. Favourite ever memory from there. Pity I despise Cardiff really otherwise I could have gone more often.
Hmm, if I'm not mistaken, that isn't in the Kop mate. Looks more like Wembley. See the white barrior in the middle. That was the barrior that divided lower and upper sections of Wembley, I'm sure it's the old tunnel end. 1971 Cup final is my guess (see the FA Cup 1971 banner). The Kop never had full barrior like that, it had the typical bar type barriors if you get what I mean. It also looks too steep to be the Kop, The Kop was more a gradual slope and went further back. At the old Wembley you had big massive steps on the terrace which gives the steepness to the terrace. Good thing about that was even if you were small, you always got a decent view of the pitch at wembley, whereas in the kop, if you were small, you spent most of the game looking at the person in front of you's back. Here is a picture of the old Wembley...see the barrior? http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/F...mbley_Stadium_-_geograph.org.uk_-_1243750.jpg The picture has also fooled someone on the site Thisisanfield as they have included the exact same picture in this article about The Kop http://www.thisisanfield.com/2008/11/kop-treasures-the-spirit-of-the-kop/ Surprisingly there aren't many pics of the Kop floating around the internet...
Remember being on the Kop at Wrexham when Wales played Spain in a WCQ in 1985. The place was heaving and at times was struggling to see the action when the ball went into either corner at our end. For the record we beat them 3-0 with Mark Hughes scoring with one of his side on bicycle kick things.

Here's one from the old Dean Court, taken in 1939 from the Brighton Beach End looking towards a packed South End.
Another photo of the South End, not long before it was demolished. I'm in that photo, right at the front on the barrier, just to the right of the goal as you look at it. Must have been 9 or 10, that was my 'spot' for 3 years. Good times.
